The Klamath River Photo Project since 2022
Iron Gate, Copco No 1, and J. C. Boyle after dam removal, autumn 2024.
The Klamath River Photo Project is a multiyear visual journey of the world’s largest dam removal project and Klamath River restoration process.
Located in the sublime landscape of Northern California and Southern Oregon, the Klamath River and its headwaters, the Sprague, Williamson, and Wood is salmon country.
Dam removal was completed in October 2024 and within days wild salmon were returning to areas unreached since 1912. It's an epic story of multi-cultural, multi-agency cooperation with ongoing work toward sustaining fisheries while farming.
